Can you avoid info drop down over thumbnails?

I am slogging through trying to tweak our newly upgraded Gallery 3 site to function more like our previous Gallery 2 site. Sometimes this is not possible, but where users have complained quite a bit, I am trying to adapt it. I have a short (thankfully) list of these, so I will keep them in separate posts to not get things more confused.

One such item is with how Gallery 3 handles thumbnail mouseovers. In G2 a thumbnail was static. You could click it and it would take you to that album or image. In G3 a thumbnail pops down info about the thumbnail/album and can provide some options (views, owner, etc...). I have attached a screenshot of a mouseover popdown in action (pardon the heavy blur, our site is firewalled off so screengrabs will have to be filtered).

Is there a way to set G3 so that thumbnails are static like they were in G2? The only think we want our users to see is the name of the album/image. They do not need to see views or owner, and the jittery dropdown motion on mouseover is having quite a few complaints.

If it is not an easy fix they will have to live with it, but I wanted to check.
