Need Help with authentification file in Wordpress

I tried to upgrade Gallery 2.3 today.

I was asked to create a new Login.txt file to Authenticate.
I downloaded a text file.
But I do not know where to place it.
Can you please help me to place this Authentification file in the Wordpress Directory?

To what version? You posted in the G3 section. G2 -> G3 is not a upgrade but a migration.
