I have no idea, if it is a problem of the offical gallery or if it is problem with a 3rd-party-code. Please have a look at the exif-data of http://www.bognerart.eu/index.php/2009-08_hallstaetter_see/2009-08_hallstaetter_see_001 at the right side. You will see a lot of wrong characters like While I can guess tags like http://www.bognerart.eu/index.php/tag/1275/yukar%C4%B1+avusturya which are then displayed correctly under tags (but not under exif), I have no idea what happened after "listesi". Maybe this is a problem of the metadata in the photo, since I see there under [IPTC] 0x0019 Keywords ... avusturya, yukarı avusturya, dünya miras listesi, αυστρία, άνω αυστρία, μνημείο παγκόσμιας πολιτιστικής κ�, австрия ...

I'm no EXIF or IPTC expert but I'm sure that the adding of HTML in the description is not standard and could be part of the issue:

Then it looks like the keywords (not sure if there is some limit you have reached or not but I bet there is some limit) are corrupt as well:

Perhaps your editor is the one that has the issue?
I used http://www.irfanview.com/ for getting the details and editing.

Have a look at http://www.bognerart.eu/index.php/2009-08_oestlicher_mondsee/2009-08_oestlicher_mondsee_001 and the metadata. I see correct German umlauts and Greek characters there at the exif data.
I agree, that there is something wrong with the keywords. Your image shows the same problem as my "code". "avusturya yukarı" is correct in the album http://www.bognerart.eu/index.php/2009-08_oestlicher_mondsee, but not in the other album.
But there is still the question, why exif-data is not correct and "tag albums" are in the links of my entry posting. Maybe it is length related. For some reason the tag "μνημείο παγκόσμιας πολιτιστικής κληρονομιάς" (World Heritage Site) is shortened to "μνημείο παγκόσμιας πολιτιστικής κ�" and I didn't find out why.

Please go to http://www.bognerart.eu/index.php/2008-03_sakrales_salzburg and compare the exif data of the 1st and the last photo. The image is the same. I added the tag "μνημείο παγκόσμιας πολιτιστικής κληρονομιάς" to the last photo and exif is destreyed.

How did you add the tag, though the tag interface of G3?
Need a lot more to go on here.

The tag was _not_ added with G3, so you can blame the photo itself, but I think a problematic tag in the photo should not lead to the mentioned problem. I tried a longer sentence in Greek than my tag taken from the wikipedia and I couldn't see any problem. So I am very confused what the problem is. I write my tags with exiftool and never had any problem except with this tag.

What do you propose gets changed. If the image is corupt or has corupt data should it just not be diplayed? How does the coruption get detected?
