Where is Admin/Dashboard

Hi, I managed to install Gallery3 without any problems Clicked Star Using Gallery - Fine, a page with no images,- but how to upload images?

There is mention of a Dashboard but where is it and how to get there?

I feel as if I am hanging on a cliff edge at the moment. Could anybody throw me a lifeline, preferably a nice simple one without too much jargon to decipher. Treat me gently, I'll get the hang of it eventually.

Thanks but the menu is missing. Only 'Home' is on the screen.
