I'm trying to run Gallery2 on Dreamhost. I'd like to try making an animated gif site but it's been a long time since I've made any website.
I've got Gallery2 installed and ready to go but the first few gif uploads had errors "Error (ERROR_TOOLKIT_FAILURE)" and the thumbnails don't work. IF I click on the broken thumbs I will get the full image however.
Before I get right into this I just want to ask if it's a good idea to try and use gallery2 for a site like this.
I want the gifs to be arranged by categories and tags but I guess there also has to be a url provided for people to link to it. Can I get all these features working in gallery2?
The one click install at dreamhost was just for g2 and not g3 so I don't know if I should upgrade myself.
Any help is appreciated.

I just switched the toolkit priority and moved imagemagick to "up"; now the thumbnail worked when I uploaded a gif but it's not animated. Progress at least.

This applies to all image toolkits that handle animated mimetypes.
