can I run a copy of Galler3 on another website?

I have an installation of Gallery3 on one of my web sites. The hosting company I am using offers G3 but is having problems with new installs. I want to use a copy of my original install on another web site. I have copied it to the proper folder, but if I make changes to the gallery it effects the original gallery on the other website. Is there a way to run 2 instances of this gallery with different images on the copied version while keeping the original install intact?

Then you did not copy the DB.
