Internal Server Error 500

Below is my current info. Each time I attempt to upload a new photo to a new album I receive an "Internal Server Error 500". To the best of my knowledge I have not changed anything from the last time I successfully uploaded photos. Can anyone help?

you can have gallery check to see if your files are intact and check server permissions at any time by visiting the upgrade script and running to step 2 "system checks". you don't need to complete the upgrade.

If your answer is not found there you'll have to check the server's error logs as 500 errors are only written there.
