Is it possible to move MYSQL DB to another volume?

Hi folks,

I was wondering, if I've installed my database to the c:\ and would like to move it to a larger partition, is this possible?

Any idea how I would go about this? I presume all the gallery photos are stored inside the DB...

The DB does not contain the photos. It contains the meta data ( title description album hierarchy etc ). If your running out of space it is mosliklikly the /var/albums directory that is taking up space.

Thanks Dave, that is really helpful.

In the above scenario - is it possible to point the Gallery to a different /var/albums directory. eg. could I move the entire directory onto a d: and then configure Gallery to use that as the default path for photos etc?
