I have created two separate albums and now find that i need to combine the two of them into a completely new album. The two gallery's have exactly the same folders just different pictures in them. I have downloaded (via FTP) the var folder with its sub folders then uploaded (via FTP) the pictures only, into the relevant folders. The "problem is that none of the uploaded pictures show up in the folders. Can anyone please advise if

1. it is possible to combine two separate gallery's into one

2. what I am doing wrong if it is possible to do the combining

Many thanks in advance Stu

1: create a new album and move the items or albums into the new album http://codex.galleryproject.org/Gallery3:Modules:organize
2: don't use FTP to move stuff about.

thanks for the reply Dave but that page does not appear to say how to combine two gallery's together IE

www.website1.com/gallery/index.php(pictures 1 - 250)

www.website9.com/gallery/index.php (pictures 251 - 500)

that would then combined to be

www.newwebsite.co.uk/gallery/index.php (pictures 1 - 500)

Thanks Stu

Oh! different sites. You said separate albums into 1 "new" album .
Anyway you have to use the server add ( http://codex.galleryproject.org/Gallery3:Modules:serveradd ) method after copying the one set of originals to a temp location on the new albums server.

If you were displaying a RESTful gallery, you could make 2 calls and merge the result.

Thanks for the replies and help .

Dave thanks it works BUT what about the info contained on/within the photo that's being transferred.
On the few that i have just done its gone and to double the work load i just cant do.

Is there some way of transferring the written data about the photo ie where taken / by whom
along with the photo.

Hope that makes sense

Many thanks stu

Only if the data is in the EXIF/IPTC data of the photo.
