[SOLVED] Gallery wont install in Qnap NAS

While resolving a few major network issues recently, the network tech guy installed Gallery 3 at my request. Unfortunately during the installation he paid no attention to the user and password that he used and so I could not access it. He suggested uninstall/re-install which I attempted. it uninstalled off the NAS but now will not install. It downloads and then the NAS brings up an error "App install failed due file format".
Could anybody suggest what the problem and solution may be or is this a Qnap NAS issue. I have shutdown and restarted the NAS hoping that might resolve it but it made no difference. There were no errors during the uninstall.

Won't help you much now (unless you can do a restore), but you could've just wiped the db; that would've erased all users (and their associated passwords) and allowed you to reset them (at the expense of erasing everything else in the db as well, of course).

Qnap NAS: I have no idea; I've never installed that way, but yes, it's likely a Qnap NAS issue.
A quick search of the internet brought up all kinds of possible causes and solutions.

After advice from Qnap, I did a manual install with a file 3.0.1 that they supplied and that has worked and fixed the problem. Thanks
