Anyone have these options/mods working?

I just started using version 1.4.1 of Gallery, and I keep seeing posts about these features but nothing about how to get them on your gallery. The SourceForge page says that some of these are now options in gallery 1.4.1, but I've gone through the setup a couple times now and I didnt find them. I also checked the settings for each album and picture but havent found out how to do any of these yet.

If you know how to add/change ANY of these in gallery let me know. Otherwise I'll get around to coding them myself this weekend.

--Auto-Latest Highlight --
- Basicly changes the highlight image upon the upload of a new image. Useful for the quick glance of whats new.

--Public View Comments Link -
- anyone can view the all comments page.

--Better Vote/Poll Settings -
- Options such as where to put the results and how to display them, what color/size/style fonts to use, how much or little to Nag about voting. location of vote button.

--Delete Original Size Image option -
- adds delete original size image option to the album properties page/popup. Usefull for those lazy people like me who would rather upload and go, or for those people who let others upload to their album but dont want to waste too much Server Space/ Monthly transfer quota.

Let me know before I go waste my time. And if you read this after the weekend let me know. I'll post what I have when Im done.

you might want to include urls. I'm interested in the vote thing, as i wrote the voting code. But I am not familiar with that patch - unless it's http://gallery.menalto.com/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=4207 in which case it's in 1.4.1.

Resizing of images on upload is in 1.4.1 as well.

I'm very interested in mods to the vote settings. Let me know what you come up with. I've been searching through the includes and html wraps, but was surprised to see voting appearance can't be controlled simply with gallery. The current look of voting is bulky and awkward, though I love the option.

I'm super grateful for the new gallery version, and I look forward to seeing other people's mods on voting appearance.

Just to clarify
I posted this to see if anyone had done or was working on these changes.
I dont know if anyones already working on these, but im thinkin about it.

The add delete option I would like to would add a "delete orginal size images" button to the resize options window/page.... kinda like how 1.4.1 has a delete resized images button.
makes things easier every time you realize, 'I dont need full sized files on this album.'

So here are my thoughts on what changes to make on the poll system.

*Move the My choices/Results (when results to everybody is selected) info closer to the bottom of the page and make it smaller, much to the fashion this forum has the information of what users are online. (Rank mode option)

*Under poll settings add the option to define what colors to use. Defaults being borrowed from the rest of the album.

* add the option to change the words that apear in blue and the option to pick a color pther than blue...

*Add the option to choose which input method to use, independant of the polling mode. Rank with Drop down menus, Critique with check boxes.

*Add the option to choose standard vote button, replace the vote button with an image, or auto submit once a choice is made.

*Add the Option to have the vote button and poll instructions apear either at the top or bottom or both.

*Vote button and instructions should come after the album description at the top.

Anyways these are just my thoughts... If theres anything out that has these changes send me a link. It'd be a great help. :D

I requested Gallery to run on my Mocha host, did an install and cannot find an "about" link to tell me what I am running, etc. I think I am on G1, but don't see where to get specifics. I do not see where or how to establish a "voting" capability. I've searched but no luck. How do I configure? How to I obtain results? I need to report on voting to my camera club competitions and possibly reformat results. I'd also like to accumulate totals by image, by month, by year and by category.

Obviously, I'm not a techie, but would appreciate some guidance and reading materials.
