Hi everyone !

I just make the big jump, and installed Gallery. All is working fine, except the language settings : all is displayed in English, even if I ask to Gallery to use French. I got this problem on Mozilla Firebird 0.7 and on IE6.0. I couldn't test with other browsers.

My config for language is currently :

Quote:
- Default language : French
- Multi language mode : 3 - Pulldown menu or flags
- Available languages : English - French
- Show flags : no

Does someone is seeing what's wrong ?
Thanks in advance...

Just more info, in the case it can help :
- gettext package is installed
- Tried with the French language packets taken on SourceForge and on http://www.jems.de/archive/
- A phpinfo() is available at http://seba.baguette.net/phpinfo.php

EDIT :
- My locales are well installed and generated (fr_FR ISO-8859-1 and fr_FR.UTF-8 UTF-8)

Hi,

are you really sure that your locales are installed ?
Because you are using debian...

If you installed the fr_FR locale after Gallery, you could also try restarting Apache.

Regards,

Jens

You were right... All is well, now ! Thanks you a lot ! :)
(I should have thought to do this apache restart earlier ! :D)

PS : As people on Debian seems to have fluently this problem, don't you think that an entry on the FAQ should be added ?

Another Happy User. :) :)

This ApacheRestartThing is not only a Debian issue. The not installed locales are.

But i will think about a FAQ entry.

Thanks and merry christmas.
