[Mirror] Full image question

Hey there!!

I am running gallery (http://gorash.tk) and it works great! Problem is, i run it from my cable connection, and when it's crowded, 16 kb/s (soon 64 kb/s tough) is not enough!!!

Now I can mirror, easily.. 100mbit connection with alot of space, but the problem is.. I have ALOT of pictures.. I mean, in the next days it will be over 2 gig worth of pictures.. I don't wanna store that uch on my friends webserver..

Can I host the small images on the webserver (100 mbit) and the full size ones on my own pc? I can't try this yet but I have to know this, becuase I will be visting the mirror soon, and I need to put all the content on a CD..

That only partly answers the question. It just says you can mirror an entire album, but what the poster is getting at I assume (and what I'd like) is the ability to mirror just the thumbnails & mid-sized pictures to speed up browsing the gallery. The majority of the bandwidth is in viewing the smaller pictures and many of us have enough web space externally to support the smaller pictures, but not enough for the full size pictures. We have loads of disc space on our own servers though for these and because they're infrequently pulled by users, it's not such a drain on bandwidth on a DSL/Cable connection.

I asked before and the answer was it wasn't possible to split the smaller and larger pictures between local and external, it's an all or nothing mirror.

Hi

With smart mirror for Gallery. You can control what server will host what.

Like one server with all the thumbnails.
Server1 with album1 to album200
Server2 with album200 to 500
(albums name can be anything)
