daHamza82, you need to follow the docs to the letter. Especially the "setting permissions and copying cmd.exe" bit of it @ http://gallery.sf.net/docs.php

This same error has been reported in two threads that I know of and it has never been addressed. There was a suggestion sometime ago that the script that checks for the presence of each NetPBM file actually has a typo in it.

Now, I saw a post about this staus1 expect zero having to do with PHP being in safe_mode. I checked that, its not, phpinfo page says safe_mode off. so what else might cause this?
also, I have the " site loading in the add photos pop-up window" issue too.
now, back when i installed gallery 1.3.1 there was a solution posted for this. but, im not seeing it now, and i forget what it took to stop that. as far as i can tell these are my last two issues.

hi everyone, i seem to be having a similar problem as lots of other people: gallery seems to work fine, but i can't upload images as something is wrong with the thumbnailing.

As you can see i don't get any error messages at all. I also tried the solutions mentioned in the faq, but putting a php file with
"<?php
echo ini_get("disable_functions");
?>"
in it doesn't return anything at all, either.
I've tried switching from ImageMagick to NetPBM but when i do that the config file errors, saying it can't find ppmtojpeg, but it can't find pnmtojpeg either, despite 12 of 13 modules being installed and the only one missing is the one for watermarks.
Has anyone got any insight into this? I'm stumped, especially by the lack of error messages. Any ideas? Any at all? Thanks a lot!

well, i tried to, but i couldn't install them on my server. I tried both releases for FreeBSD as the webserver runs on freebsd, but every time i get "can't find pnmtojpeg" in the config file depite triple checking the URL, so, basically the same error i get without uploading NetPBM myself and using the files Gallery finds when you first run the config. It can't find both ppmtojpeg or pnmtojpeg despite correct paths (well i suppose the path is correct, i uploaded the files to a folder i called _NetPBM in the webroot (i can't go any higher) and just said "_NetPBM" in the form where it asks for the path, is that correct?
I'm stumped. I tried it again with ImageMagick, still the same: no errors, but no thumbnails either. I wish i could at least manage to switch over to NetPBM. Any suggestions?

XP pro or home?
Anyway, google for "disable XP simple file sharing" and it should yield some results.
