I installed Gallery in my site because is the best script for pictures. But in my hosting service they say that your code is malicious. The site of them is http://www.hostingfull.com. I think it is because you use the mod_rewrite. They say hackers did the code.

I think they are not giving all the bandwith they say. If I erase the file htaccess, Gallery will function?

Gallery code is not malicious, nor was it written by hackers. It's entirely open source and can be (and has been) scrutinized from a security point of view by many security auditors.

Using mod_rewrite is perfectly acceptable and does not constitute any kind of security risk. If they don't want you to use mod_rewrite, they could easily disable it on your account so I'm not sure what their point is.

Regardless, if you want to disable use of mod_rewrite, just remove the gallery/.htaccess file then edit config.php and turn off the rewrite option:

$gallery->app->feature["rewrite"] = 0;

Please invite your ISP to come discuss the problem here on our forums and I'll be happy to answer any questions they have about how the code works.

Well, I think is for that reason (mod_rewrite) they say is malicious. I'll say to them to come here. I passed problems installing it (because I din't follow the instructions well). Well my site is down right now, my gallery is http://www.solorojos.com/galeria.
