One feature I would find useful in gallery is a way to disallow a user from seeing an album. Is that on the roadmap? For example, let everyone see albums, except your boss and your grandma who are probably better off not seeing what you did last week-end. In practice this could translate in a new box in the "permissions" dialog, named "Users who cannot see album". What's your opinion ? Ed |

Isn't it just what the permission property " Users who can see the album" does? Or are you thinking of something else maybe?
One effective way of disallowing users, is to allow everyone access to all albums - except the party albums. Then you assign rights to these party albums.
This way not logged in users can't see your party albums.

You're partly right: the thing is that I use gallery embedded inside a CMS (phpnuke):
In order to get access to albums, users have to be registred, and they get access to all albums by default. Explicitely adding all users to all albums manually is not practical are there are dozens of users and hundreds of albums!
On the other hand, explicitely disallowing a couple of users is easy to do... as long as the option is implemented of course. I can actually work on it and submit a patch to include in gallery, if there is a demand for it.

edouard, hmm... yes. I see what you mean.
If you have 100 users, it is of course easier to disallow 2 users than allowing 98... Especially if you have to go thru hundreds of albums.
