Hi,

this is a mixture of some things.

The solution is to replace é in translation with the corresponding HTML entitiy.

Hi,

its not a page.
There are files which contains the translations.
In your case its fr_FR-gallery_core.po.

You should also read the translation howtos in the section "Dev Documents".

Hello again Jens

Now I am very confused...I looked in the fr_FR-gallery_core.po and the translation look ok for me. So I don't understand where it came from.

Is it possible that the the magic_quotes_gpc could be the source of my problem?
It is set on by my host and no way my host put that off.

Please help me pinpointed the source of that annoying problem.
I din't have that problem before the update and nothing change in the configuration of my host or mine.

Many thanks.

Hi,

well that IS the problem. It LOOKS ok, but it doesnt work :)

e.g. in Germany we have so called "Umlauts".
like ä ö ü
If i would use äüö in the german translation file it would become
a" o" and u" on your server.

So i use ä ö and ü.
These are the html entities.
You have to do the same for the french translation.

Hope that helped,

Jens
