Foreign imageformats like psd tif etc.

dear developers, you did and you do a wonderful work and gallery is really great.

nevertheless one discussion appears regurlarly. what about foreign image formats ?
i suggest to put the following solution on the roadmap:
o when uploading a picture , convert ANY fileformat to jpg or gif.
o add a field with "original filename"
o add a selection "download original file" in the "edit photo"pulldown

i think today gallery stores anyway 3 images per uploaded image
o a thumbnail as jpg or gif
o one displayformat image as jpg or gif
o and the original file as jpg or gif

with foreign imageformats it could look like this
o a thumbnail as jpg or gif
o one displayformat image as jpg or gif
o and the original file as original imageformat (displayable in browers or not)

so what about this
