IPTC support

It would be great if IPTC support could be added, I use Extensis portfolio to embed data but want to transfer these images into Gallery (6,500 images) - The critical data is the keyword data as this would allow serching within gallery. I have tried out some software - Photos 4.0.1 (http://www.alexking.org/index.php?content=software/photos/content.php) which does exactly this but it is nowhere near as sophisticated as Gallery.

Are you thinking of implementing IPTC keyword import - If you did, your program would be an ideal companion to Extensis Portfolio,
