Album Permissions

When you're setting up permissions for your albums, if you say that somebody can't "see" an album, does that mean that they see the album but don't have permission to open it or does it mean that it doesn't appear in the browser so they don't even know it's there?

it means that it doesnt appear in the browser so they don't even know its there mainly. There are currently ways around this, but hidden albums should be pretty safe from anyone but the most determined visitor.

I'm experiencing trouble hidding my albums. I'd like set permissions for logged in members viewing only. but the settings won't move over to the appropriated fields.
Using Gallery v1.5.3 imbedded in Joomla 1.0.8
