Gallery displayed error once i unzip the language pack

I had downloaded and unzipped the chinese and korean language pack into the locale folder. I ran the configuration wizard and make the changes to display those language on the gallery main page. However, at the very last page of the gallery configuration wizard, it gave me these error messages: Missing Value: locale_alias[ko_KR]! I tried all sort of things, include changing different setting on the language section, but nothing worked. Eventually i took both language folders out of the locale folder, then everything was back to normal, no more error massages. What seems to be the problem?? I had installed gallery(same version) before and didnt have that problem happened to me. Thx for your help. Brian |

Hello Brian,
this is a known Problem in 1.4.1 and 1.4.2.
This is fixed in 1.4.3.
i assume that your .htaccess files are ignored and/or your Magic Quotes setting is ON, right ?

yup, that's correct, so if i get the .htaccess working, i would be able to solve the problem? i will try that, thx a lot Jens.

Yes, either that, or change the setting in your php.ini

My .htaccess files are not ignored neither is the Magic Quotes setting ON, still I can't get my multilingual (Finnish, Swedish, English) gallery work.
I just noticed that in photo prorerties the date is displayed in right language, so I'm making progress
Where can I download 1.4.3, I believe I've seen a link somewhere, but can't find it anymore.

i dont know what your problem is.
You have to tell me which version on which os you have.
Also a URL to a phpinfo were very usefull.
1.4.3 is at moment only available via cvs, or the site were some developer put builds.
We will release a 1.4.3-RC in a few Days. Maybe you can wait a little ?
