self registration module in work?

Hello again,

i found a notice in a thread fom february, that a self registration module is to be developed soon. Is anybody already working on this?

Myself and others have developed ones for G1.

Perhaps once G2 is in an alpha stage I (or someone else?) will look into creating a module for self registration.
