I don't really understand what can be done to organize pictures. For example I wish to have a category "Houses" then enter different house galleries, I have to put everything in main gallery or create parent gallery but then I get one gallery on the main page, all pictures of first house in the gallery and one thumbnail of another house pictures. So on the main page one cannot see all houses but one and then among all pictures of one house a thumbnail leading to other house. How to get a category "houses" on main page then a thumbnail for each house leading to pictures. Uhhh, sorry for my english.

This is a Gallery 2 forum, but it looks like your site uses Gallery 1.
The top level of G1 can only contain albums, so you're right that you need a subalbum to contain all the pictures. In G2 the top level can contain photos if you wish.
