cant upload pics via GR.. login error

Hi.. dunno whas wrong.. but as of late i cant upload any pics via GR. i used to be able to do it fine, but not anymore. everytime i try to log into GR, it gives me an error.

"Invalid username/password.

If your Gallery is embedded in a CMS like PostNuke, you need to use the "native" (non-embedded) Gallery to log-in, as well as the native Gallery username and password. You can test these by trying to go to the native URL and trying to login"

i have no idea wat any of this means! I used to be able to use GR fine to upload pics, but not anymore. Also, is there any bug w/the Gallery software? cuz everytime when i try to change the permissions for my albums, it just doesn't work. like when i click on "nobody" for my albums, and the little arrow, it seems to do something, refresh the page, but its still available to everybody! any suggestions?

finally, if i re-install gallery, wud i have to re-upload all the pics?

thx.. and sorry, i dont really noe the answers to most of the questions abt my server n stuff.. but all i noe is that once upon a time it used to work perfectly fine! i cud log into gallery thru the software and also upload pics via there.. but still probs w/permissions..! help!!
