Using Mirroring to Host Local Album and Sub-albums

I tried posting in the Installation and Configuration forum but I got no response so I am reposting here in the hopes that this forum is more relevant.

Hi,
I would like to have an album and it sub albums locally on my desktop and then to use mirroring to replicate the album up to the Gallery "Server" where there are lots more albums. The problem is, the folders on the server don't appear to be hierarchical like they appear in the Gallery website. What do I need to do in order to set up mirroring and album and all its sub albums such that if I had the album locally, I could mirror it up to the server site.
