Hi everyone, I've recently moved a gallery from one server to another, and I'm suddenly having problems when adding photos to an album. On the server that was running gallery initially, I just tar'ed the appropriate directories, then untar'ed them on the new server. I unpacked the new gallery on top of it, then re-ran the configuration scripts. The gallery seemed to work fine, as I was able to view albums and change settings. However, I added a new album today for the first time on this box, and I'm not able to add any photos by any method. When I try to upload using the local directory option, this is what I get: - Adding DSCF0001.JPG I get this error after every file that is in the directory. This error is also displayed when trying to upload a single file from the web interface. Gallery Remote accepts the files for upload, but they don't display on the site. Now that I've described the problem, let me lay out some of the steps I've taken to try and correct this: 1. I've recursively changed the owner of both the album and gallery directories to "httpd" That said, does anyone have any suggestions as to what to try next? If it helps, my gallery is located at http://www.kevbo.us/gallery Thanks in advance, |

So I'm sure that after reading this error message repeatedly, the first thing you did was to look in the faq. Right? Check out out FAQ C.2.

Ok, I tried running netpbm manually, and got the following output:
/usr/local/netpbm/jpegtopnm DSCF0001.JPG | /usr/local/netpbm/pnmfile
sh: /usr/local/netpbm/jpegtopnm: cannot execute binary file
sh: /usr/local/netpbm/pnmfile: cannot execute binary file
I tried downloading the binaries again, but I got the same error. I downloaded the linux binaries for my Cobalt Raq 2 server. Is this a known incompatibility, or do you think I have problems on the server side?
Thanks for the quick reply!

Ok, nevermind.
After reading the archives, it looks like the binaries are bunk on MIPS processors. I tried compiling from scratch, but with bad results. I'll just hold off on uploading until I can get the primary server back up and running again.
Thanks again!
