is there any way that g2 can merge with postnuke like the other galleries??? |

usually this "merge" is called "syndication" or "integration".
it will be much easier to integrate G2 into your existing website than it was with Gallery 1.x.
the integration for portals (*nuke) and CMS (xaraya, ...) will be done by modules.

it hasn't been done yet. someone has to create such a module.
perhaps it's now time to start modules for integration with other apps. be sure that these modules exist when G2 reaches Final.
I guess I'll take a closer look at xaraya and how to syndicate it with G2. xaraya is a fork of postnuke, so it won't be that difficult to adapt the integration for *nuke.
But I don't know yet when I'll start integrating xaraya / phpbb / G2, perhaps someone else is starting such a module before.

valiant, it'd be great if you could do research into integrating with Xaraya and PhpBB. As far as I know nobody is working on that at the moment. Let us know how it goes and stop by #gallery if you have any questions that I can answer.

to be honest, it's not my top priority and haven't truly worked with xaraya, so it may take some time.
nevertheless i'll research it and figure how and what can be done.
