Has anyone done a mod that builds a text site index of albums, subalbums and their pictures by title or file name?

Out of curiosity, for what purpose?

I have a gallery with almost 800 photos in 113 various albums. The users would like a quick reference to see where additions should be made; new albums needed, existing albums with few images...

Then I am not quite sure what you mean. Could you make a pretend output for me? I imagine something like the following:

-Animals (2 sub, 2 images)
--Dog (0 sub, 100 images)
--Cat (2 sub, 10 images)
---Frank (0 sub, 10 images)
---Pepper (0 sub, 10 images)
-People (1 sub, 1 image)
--John (0 sub, 1 image)

Something like that I guess.

So you would actually want image names, not just the sub albums? With 800 images and 100+ albums, that would be huge, I personally have almost 3000 images in 100 albums... I wouldn't want to see that list :)
