Problems embedding Gallery into Geeklog 1.3.9

I've been having these problems for a long time and I just can't seem to figure out what is going wrong here. I installed Gallery and went through the entire configuration - everything technically works but for some reason I can't get Gallery to embed inside Geeklog. I chose the embed option when I did the config, and pointed it to the path for my lib-common.php file, but it still doesn't seem to work right. It works fine standalone, but that's it. The strange thing is, I have to login as admin in Geeklog before I can get into any of the controls for Gallery. Also, the theme I chose for gallery doesn't work on any of the main albums pages, but when I get a popup window for any of the functions such as adding pictures or captions, that window seems to be following the stylesheet for the theme I chose during setup.
