Screensaver for Gallery?

I have seen a couple of posts about this previously in the forums but none of them panned out... I think it would be really cool to have a windows screensaver that you could point at a particular album on your gallery site, that would run through a slide show of the photos in that album. The idea here would be to send out a screen saver app (preconfigured) to relatives, etc. where you could continually update the photos in the album, and every time it kicked in, they would see the latest photos. Kind of a poor-man's version of the digital picture frame idea. It seems to me that the fullscreen slide show applet is a perfect candidate for this. If someone could figure out how to call that applet from a .scr file, that would do the trick! Unfortunately, it is beyond my abilities. |

Sounds very nice to me. The first thing that springs to my mind is that you'd better make sure that the images are cached on the client.
