thanx for a great product.

I found this thread here in the forum and was decided to check if someone had
AIX net binaries i could use or if anybody success at installing the netpbm at AIX

Apparently pnmfile is now called pamfile in new versions of NetPBM (argh!! ).
Perhaps "ln -s pamfile pnmfile" will help that.

A ten second perusal of the documentation also seems to indicate that they've migrated from double dashes (--option) to single dashes (-option). (again... argh!! )
Maybe you'll need to fix this in the code too (?) <groan>

Certainly, NetPBM is one royal pain to compile on any platform. Not that I'd encourage frequent compiling of NetPBM for good mental health, but maybe you can find an older version (< 10.9, > 9.9) to compile?

Perhaps post a new thread asking "does ANYONE have AIX NetPBM binaries I can use?!?!"
