Hello,
maybe this is more a suggestion for G2, maybe for both. I'm organizing my images with Foto Album Pro by www.fototime.com. I compared many many programs and in my opinion, this is the best - although no longer free but not really expensive either.
Fototime runs an own online gallery service and synchronizing the software with the web-album is inbuilt into the software. Du you think it might be possible to write a gallery extension to make it compatible with the fototime protocol? Of course, they didn't publish their protocol. It is possible to set a proxy server in fototime. With this - and maybe some other software on the local machine or on the server - connections to their server could be changed to the Gallery.
Or does anyone else know a really good photo management software thay may be compatible with Gallery?
Thanks
Stefan

Well, have you tried Gallery Remote, available from our download page?
If you have a Mac, there's a Gallery plugin for iPhoto, which is very nice.
Since Gallery has its own protocol, I don't imagine we'd write an interface on the Gallery end to the fototime protocol. But if they're interested in implementing the Gallery protocol, that'd be great.

I'm currently using Gallery Remote. But I have to save the photos from the album to a folder, then load them into Gallery Remote and transfer them afterwords. It could just be a little more comfortable. This way I also loose the descriptions
I asked fototime, but as they want to sell their own online gallery, they are of course not interested.
