2 errors when installing 1.44pl2 and 2 questions please..

Hi, I just installed the 1.44 pl2 in php 5.02 and IIs6.0 windows.

I have 2 errors, and 2 questions.

I. First the question:

1. howcome it didn't ask me for a mysql information like username dbname host and etc??

2. how do I install the patch for 1.44? I mean do I need to ? the patch says it's for 1.44 pl2.. so.. I guess I do right? how? just copy over?

II. NOW 2 errors:

after entering admin for the first time and creating album, it said that I was missing 2 files in the album directory:

1. albumdb.dat
2. albumdb.dat.bak

??

What should I do?

Please let me know

Also, does gallery 1.44 not use mysql? I'm confused... where's data gathering?
