how could a gallery script that has built in thumbnail cropping multiple ways of uploading , advanced feature 13190291313190, but not have simple basic stuff like recursive / inherited operations for setting permissions?

seriously how hard would it be to add that? what would it take half an hour? can't do a half an hour of coding to save the rest of us 12301283012 hours setting permissions for every subalbum of a subalbum of a subalbum. i just assumed basic stuff like this would here, but when i finally need to set permissions i have to spend so much time just for that.

stop working on g2, finish g1!

yqbd, fyi Imm closing this thread before it gets into another flame post.

The developers are looking into recursive permissions, and this will most likely be in 1.4.5 final.

If you are serious about it taking half an hour, well, spend that and submit a patch. If not, asking nicely is a way better approach than this post was.

It's already done, and has been in the development builds for several weeks.

yqbd, since Gallery is FREE software, that the developers donate their spare time to work on, you'd think that being polite wouldn't kill you.
