"Pause" after each album page loads

I'm new to Gallery, and just installed G2. Uploads, viewing is great, however I noticed that after each page loads, there is a slight "pause" of 2-3 seconds before you can click on an image, or make a selection in the lefthand toolbar. This pause appears not only on album pages with pictures, but also in my site admin pages. And immediately after the pause, the page text and graphics kind of "shift" down on the page a bit (if that makes any sense). It gets very frustrating after a few pages load, because you have to wait 3 seconds before you can perform you next click. Thanks mindless...that seemed to fix the pause problem. The page draws itself a little differently now (text looks unformatted at first, then cleans itself up once the page is complete)...but I'm just happy that it's much faster now!

gstevenson, I've just commited some fixes that might aleviate the performance problem even keeping the IE7-fixes in the template. You might want to try tomorrows CVS-snapshot to see how it performs for you. (see the topic mindless is referring above, which is where I posted comments on these latest changes).
