Installation: "You must have the MySQL PHP module insta

I'm installing G2, and is getting the message "You must have the MySQL PHP module installed" at step 5 of the installer.

I have searched google for "download MySQL PHP module" and found nothing.

I don't know if I'm looking for a module for MySQL or a module for PHP.

What is the problem, and how do I solve it?

module for php; it is included with php but needs to be compiled in (unix) or enabled (windows).
