Can't login, but does NOT say invalid login

I just created a new install of Gallery 1.3.1 on my web host. I ran the config, everything went great, but my admin account won't login. I don't get an invalid username or password response, it just doesn't login. What's going on? :???:

I get that quite often, if the screen flashes for a split-second but doesn't actually
go away, you are fine. It did log you in. Just close the window and refresh
the main page and you should be all set.

Well, I tried that. But it doesn't seem to be working. It just sits there mocking me. Grr... this feels like my problems with PostNuke all over again (user.php [login system] started to fail, and despite changes to multiple versions and clean installs, would NOT work). Any other ideas?

If I showed you the PHP config, would that help any? I'm really getting confused here, cause things that SHOULD work, don't anymore. :???:

Well, have u tried the FAQ C.11?
I have had the same problem, but in IE you get a yellow varning sign i the lower left corner of the window, press that icon and you (? at least I) got the explanation of this script error. My error is at line 43, someting about "method not supported by object".
Check that you are using the same URL both in accessing the page and in the configuration of the gallery (the albums and gallery path).
Did this solve your problem?

Yeah, actually, I hadn't realize that the FAQ was finally completed. It was right in there. I was using a subdomain that resolves to a full domain name. I told Gallery to use the full domain, but it was using the subdomain, so it thought there was a security violation. Phew. All working great now. Thanks for listening guys!!!

You may also get this error if you have SquidGuard installed. (Something for the FAQ C.11 ?)
