Sharing albums with family via email like Shutterfly

It would be nice to be able to make private albums that can only be seen by those you give the URL to the album too via sharing, like Shutterfly does. I would love a feature like this, unless, it's already in there and I'm too stupid to see it! hahahaha.. Thanks in advance! |

There are several ways that this can be done, actually.
1. Create an account that you share with your family, and give them the username and password, then set restrictive permissions on the albums you don't want other people to see.
2. Use the "Hide Album" feature in the options dropdown under the album (this can't be done on root albums) - then people can type the URL (or click in email), but nobody who is browsing the site can see it. The difference with this is that *anyone* who knows the URL can see the album, since they don't have to log in. (There is currently no Hidden feature available in G2, but I'm trying to get one added.)

Sounds like a plan, signe.
Now, if I add photos to that album, and since they're in a private album, they won't be shown to the world via random photos, or slideshows or anything except for that one user, correct?

Not sure what you mean. G2 already has user functionality that far surpasses what's available in G1. G2 just doesn't have the "hidden" functionality.

Yes, I mean hidden galleries, being able to share with others without them having to login, etc...
