large g1->g2 import creates duplicate albums

I'm testing g2 alpha 4... When importing a large number of albums from g1 I will sometimes get duplicates. The first will be named correctly. The 2nd will have "_01" concatenated to the end of the name. Other than that the albums appear identical. Importing a smaller number of albums seems to fix the issue.

Great work so far btw. It's turning out very nicely

madison, I am aware of that occasional bug, and I'm not sure where it comes from, except that it seems to happen when php explodes mid-import.

By any chance could you try a cvs or nightly build and see if you still have migration problems? Thanks!

I also have problems with duplicate albums. Not duplicate images.

Gallery version = 2.0.2 core 1.0.0.2
PHP version = 5.0.5 apache
Webserver = Apache/1.3.34 (Unix) mod_perl/1.29 PHP/5.0.5 DAV/1.0.3 mod_ssl/2.8.25 OpenSSL/0.9.7i
Database = mysqlt 4.1.15
Toolkits = ArchiveUpload, Exif, ImageMagick, NetPBM, Gd
Operating system = FreeBSD charles.frobbit.se 6.0-RELEASE FreeBSD 6.0-RELEASE #0: Thu Nov 3 09:36:13 UTC 2005

:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/GENERIC i386
Browser = Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X; en) AppleWebKit/416.12 (KHTML, like Gecko) Safari/416.13

I just tried to import just one album (that have sub-albums, but the sub-albums where not selected) and I got three empty albums with the same name.

Gallery2 is part of drupal, while Gallery1 is standalone. Multisite stuff is working for the gallery2 things (and drupal).

Gallery2 is at http://stupid.domain.name/gallery/

I can not see any errors in my apache logs.

Import works, but I get duplicate albums all the time that I have to remove manually. I also run out of memory in php quicker (I presume) when getting these duplicates.

please create a new topic in the g2 support -> migration forum. thanks.
note: whenever you run the migrate module and select the same album again, it will import the album again and create a new duplicate in g2.
