Required JVM version?

Hi! Why does the Gallery Remote 0.3 require JVM 1.3 and does not work if JVM 1.4.x is installed? Shouldn't this work anyway? And, as a feature request: Please make the next version have a minimum requirement of JVM1.3, but work on newer versions? It's a real pain having several applications installed, and needing to maintain two different JVM's on the same system. |

Sure. The fact that GR 0.3 only works with 1.3 VMs is just a problem with the installer and launcher.
In fact, we'll have an installer-less version out soon (and if you're bold enough you can use what's in <!-- BBCode Start --><A HREF="http://sourceforge.net/cvs/?group_id=7130" TARGET="_blank">CVS</A><!-- BBCode End -->) that works on any 1.2 VMs on any platform.
The installer for GR 0.4 will support all VMs up to 1.4 and from now on, there will be regular updates to GR and its installer, so the current situation doesn't repeat itself.

Version 0.4 is available for download now, and fixes this problem.
