Try upgrading to the latest nightly snapshot
from here and see if
that resolves your problem for you. We've made a lot of improvements
since the alpha-4 release and may well have resolved this problem already.

Thank you! With the newest Release it works!
But I have now an other problem with the Upload Applet. I logged in as administrator and tried to upload a file with the Applet and get the following error:

Upload error: Upload failed: 'user id: 4 doesn't have permission: core.addDataItem for item id: 10'.

Do you have an idea?

Another question, is it possible to make the search running through the individuall created fields? Would be nice, so I tried to make a tsunami-people-find database.

Thanks in advance!

This is a bug that was introduced a few days back. I fixed it -- try the next nightly release.

Yes .. we haven't gotten around to making the custom fields searchable yet. But we will!
