how and where to clear random block cache?

I went through and resized all of my thumbnails to a smaller size
I went through the config again to specify all new thumbnails at the smaller size
I deleted the random block files in the albums root level

and yet, for some reason, the random blocks keep showing images in a dimension thats no longer specified ANYWHERE.... how /where can i fix it?
