I've just installed gallery-1.4.4-pl4. I've tried to install it into an existing geeklog setup.

Everything seemed to install o.k., but when I go to login at:
/gallery/login.php
I enter username password and get:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: log() in /hsphere/local/home/triathlo/triathlonireland.com/gallery/login.php on line 52

Thing is, i can't see the log() defined in Geeklog_User in classes/geeklog/User.php but I can see it defined in Gallery_User classes/Users.php.

Thing is, I'm sure I've just mucked something up in the setup. Anyone any ideas?

I'm no further along, it's just that I've come across some other related strange behaviour. And if I could at this point move this thread to the "Bugs" forum I would.

I have produced this problem twice now, both in similar ways. The first I wasn't sure it was a Gallery-related problem, but I'm a bit more sure now.

In trying to work around to the problem I outlined in the previous mail, I switched the setup back to a "Standalone" setup, without geeklog. I then am able to log in and do everything normal in the Gallery. Then I can switch the setup to a Geeklog setup, so now the galler looks nice embedded in a geeklog page and all that.

However, if I now try and do anything while being logged in as the geeklog superuser, e.g. "edit title", the server just pegs out (looping?), and I now can't get a response out of it. This happened yesterday when I was doing something similar, i.e. I was switching back and forth between geeklog and Standalone and trying to log in as a user from either when something similar happened.

If the server ever comes back you should be able to see it here:
Triathlon Ireland

Thanks for any help,
Much appreciated,
Better go off and reset the security ....

I'm having the same issue. No problem when Gallery is set up as standalone, but i'm unable to login as admin whenever the Geeklog embedding is on. I get this error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: log() in /hsphere/local/home/adminup/images.urbanpeace.net/gallery/login.php on line 52

Gallery doesn't seem to care that I'm logged in as a root (superuser/admin) on Geeklog at all.

any suggestions?
