Can you post the URL of the Gallery site? I'll run some tests.

Gallery itself has an add pictures page. Also, if you look in this forum you'll find references to GalleryRemote.net, which implements much of the same functionality as GR in C# and that works with .net.

A Windows XP upload wizard is also part of Gallery 1.3.2.

Hello, I am having the same problem that the previous person was. I am using this in a Post Nuke Module v0.7.2.3-Phoenix. I really have not found any thing to fix the issue.

Gallery Remote can find no protocol implementation at the url http://www.rescue911.us/main/modules/gallery/
Check with a web browser that http://www.rescue911.us/main/modules/gallery/gallery_remote.php is a valid url

It is a valid URL, My gallery does work great I just get this error message when trying to use gallery Remote

That is the error message that I am getting.

I am on 1.3.27 (Unix) with opensourcecms hosting
gallery version v1.3.3
win xp(home)
Running on Cox.Net Cable modem in OKC, OK

Thanks Again,
Paul Wood

I'm having the same problem with the "protocol implementation" error message. I have gallery installed in postnuke 0723. I have checked the url, it works when accessed through the browser. But it just doesn't seem to work when entered in the gallery remote url field. I entered the url as:
http://www.bitsofkit.com/modules/gallery/

Here's a little hint - to help you determine what's really the issue.

If you go into the default.properties file (in the Gallery Remote folder) and set the debug switch to 3.

Then, when you connect, you will be able to review the .log file - and see, more specifically, what the server is returning. Chances are, that the server is returning something 'unexpected'...

Gallery Remote checks the: http://www.bitsofkit.com/modules/gallery/gallery_remote.php file, to see the protocol.

When I typed in the url of your site, I got back: Protocol out of Date. < 1.

This leads me to believe that you don't have the lastest version of Gallery for your PostNuke installation...

If you want an easy way to compare locally downloaded source, against what's on your server - consider downloading ScooterSoftware's Beyond Compare - it allows you to compare what's on your local machine (if it's a M$ Box) against what's on an FTP server... It has saved my life many times...

Download the latest PostNuke Gallery module - and compare it against what you have on your server...

Hope This Helps

I am using the latest gallery ver which is 1.3.3
I also install gallery remote with VM. Do I need anything other than that?

Sorry, I was out of town this weekend... Grandpa isn't feeling so well.

Even though you have the latest gallery (1.3.x) - there is something in the 'gallery_remote.php' that returns the message that its version is less than 1... It could be the way PN is configured or that one (or more) files/tables within PN or Gallery are not current.

Did you try downloading the latest Gallery from the PostNuke modules? I'd try that - first... then continue to troubleshoot.
