I am using G2 latest build (dated 2005.1.25) and gallery remote (latest build also, 1.4.2-b5)

gallery remote is ok for create chinese folder (both album name and title), but fails to create chinese file name, all the chinese file name on server are only underline and dot such as "______", or "__.__". all the chinese file display on webpage become question mark "??????.jpg"

if i upload chinese file and create album via web ui, the file name seems correct -- "_#19981__#35201__#25095__#23611__#21834"

please advise. thx!

This problem has some bearing on this topic. If we stop converting UTF-8 to unicode entities, then this problem may go away. Would you please file it as a bug on http://sf.net/projects/gallery for us, please? Thanks!

Doesn't gallery remote still use the old sanitization code from g1? Does it do it internally or in the module?

I don't think that this problem has bearing on the entities versus utf-8 issue.

I'm not sure, but I'll test it when I change the entitization code to store raw UTF8 in the database.

I found that the Gallery Remote 1.4.2 b12 is stored the Chinese in HTML notation...

I have the same question, is it possible to not have the underline or underscore "_"?
