Hello site? I'm a new user to this site, and I'm currently a Win32 user of PHP and IIS. I stumbeled over your program which looks really promising, and I do have to try it! I wanted to install netpbm-galley on my machine, but the first thing I saw, was that I had to download it in .tgz file format. Now, as far as I know, that's a *nix package, right? Wouldn't it be better to package it in zip, which is the most common zipper on the win32 platform? Just a suggestion, and please don't think about my english... Regards Claus Nielsen |

Hi Claus. .tgz is just a contraction of .tar.gz, and WinZip I know can expand these files. I'm sure other programs for Windows do as well. A fair warning: many people running IIS have had much trouble getting Gallery working--specifically for uploading photos. In fact, I'm not aware of *anyone* running IIS with a successful Gallery install, though I might be wrong. Gallery is designed to work with Apache's httpd webserver, and you should consider switching if it's at all viable. -Beckett ( beck@beckettmw.com) |
