Error (ERROR_PLATFORM_FAILURE)

I have been using Gallery2-alpha4 for a little while now and this evening I recieved the following error. I have not changed any permissions.. any insight?

Error (ERROR_PLATFORM_FAILURE)

* in modules/core/classes/GalleryTemplate.class at line 238 (gallerystatus::error)
* in modules/core/classes/GalleryTemplate.class at line 191 (gallerytemplate::_initcompiledtemplatedir)
* in main.php at line 413 (gallerytemplate::display)
* in main.php at line 47
* in main.php at line 40

did your g2data dir move or change permissions?
