Gallery and phpbb logging in

I've followed all the steps and it everything works. The only thing is that if I'm logged out and try to login by going to the gallery first, it'll kick me back to the forums instead of going back to the gallery. I found another thread talking about this but it was oudated and didn't really give any solutions. I'm currently using phpbb 2.0.11 and also the latest gallery 1.44 pl-5. Thanks for any help.
