adding only the new pictures from folders

Hi,
I keep my pictures in folders by category. As I take more pictures I put them into the appropriate folders. This can be a little annoying though, because when I goto add more pictures to the gallery and point to a directory to grab pictures, everything is uploaded again and even worse I end up with duplicate pictures in the gallery. Is there a way to check if a new pictures being added is already in the album, and if it is then just skip it?
that would be nice. otherwise gallery is the best thing since hamburgers. :grin:

Why not make a seperate tree for new photos and add them in from there?
It'd be much easier on you then hacking away at Gallery as there is no support
for what your requesting.
