Great great great job on the new version makes installation a whole lot easier and it just over all is better. I only have one problem..

The permission settings are killing me, for some reason I just can't figure out how to set them right.

My goal is to have no galleries viewable on main page.
Allow users to register, and no one else can see their albums.
I only want users to be able to edit there galleries.
No other admins or anything.

I couldn't figure out the group settings
I couldn't figure out how to change the album settings.

I did search before I posted this

login: admin
Password: whatsup

Gallery URL (optional): http://gallery.body-score.com/main.php
Gallery version: G2 with the latest update
Webserver (with version):
Datatabase (with version):
PHP version (eg 4.2.1):
phpinfo URL (optional):
Graphics Toolkit(s):
Operating system:
Web browser/version: IE or firefox

I haven't had any other problems what so ever. Just these permissions are killing me for some odd reason.

And the groups, I want a registered group so everyone who registered gets the same settings.

Activate the User Albums module and choose the appropriate view setting in Site Admin. I think this will do just what you described.

All modules are activated and installed perfectly.

Which settings would I have to set in site admin?

Also now logging in with a test account, it logs in and stays at login screen. It also only shows these options on the left hand side.

User Options
Watermarks
Account Settings
Change Password
Navigation

Wow on the right if you click the link to your album all it does is pretty much refresh the login screen, and adds a thing under navigation for your album everytime you click it.

I have it set so it should create the album when they register.

login: test
pw: surfisup

all you were missing is checking "jump to user album after login" in user albums site admin... since your root album has no permissions for normal users that is why it stayed on the login screen.. by jumping to the user album after login it will go somewhere where the user does have permission.

Ok thanks for the help with that, now as far as permissions is there away to simplify them for registered users. You guys have the all access one, there should just be one for registered with less permissions.

I just trying to figure out how to make it automatic and more clean looking than this.

Ok i've got that problem fixed.

I just need to figure out how to set the permissions so users can link there pictures out, without the full gallery being exposed.

Thanks guys. Sorry to be a bother I know other people are having worse issues.

sounds like you want view permission for Everybody group on the photos but not on the album.. try this setup by manually setting permissions and see if that's what you want. unless you have a very recent snapshot you may notice the breadcrumb (album links at the top) will show the parent album when you're viewing a photo even if the (guest) user doesn't have permission on that album.. this bug was just fixed a couple days ago.
if this is what you're looking for then you'll probably need a custom module to make it happen automatically.. permissions are inherited from the parent album when photos are added, but in this case you want the images and albums to have different permissions. you can make your own module to add view permission for Everybody group to all newly added photos.

Well basically I want the albums hidden, but I want users to be able to copy the link of an image insider there album and be able to post it in forums or send to there friends, so that there album remains private, but can still link certain pictures.
